Mogadishu budget committee schedules national framework debate

A parliamentary finance committee in Mogadishu has scheduled a full session on the 2027 national budget framework.

The draft agenda places debt sustainability, security expenditure and revenue mobilisation at the centre of the debate.

Officials at the finance ministry said the framework would aim to balance IMF programme commitments with capital investment in ports and roads.

The session is expected later this month.
